I think all of the worst and most dated bathrooms I've ever seen are the pink 60's (?) bathrooms. But I noticed the one above recently, and thought "Wow, a pink bathroom that I like!"
My parents retired recently and moved into a condo, but before that they had to sell our childhood home. Whereas I imagine a lot of people would be very sad by that, I was thrilled. In fact, I begged them to buy the new condo. The old house (built in 1970) had many problems, including one avacado green bath, and one "yellow" one. I say "yellow" because it was like a mixture of green and yellow. Ick. Isn't that shallow of me? I'm kind of embarrassed to admit it, because I did have a great childhood and a lot of good memories there. Here is the house I grew up in:
It's a great house, but it was in "fix-er-upper" shape when they sold it, and it took 3 years to sell! The good news is that their new place is amazing. Next door to the beach, brand new, huge windows, etc. And they never have to shovel snow again, or wash their windows again, or take care of the garden again (the condo association does all of that). For my father, whose family traces back to the Mayflower, this is a huge plus. There is A LOT of snow shoveling in his family history. Here is a picture of my parents' new condo:
I'm going there this weekend, and plan to take some photos of the inside. Anyway, back to the pink bathrooms! Here are some I love:

So what do you think? I'd love to hear if you like these and if you'd be brave enough to try them. I don't think I would be because the "yellow" 70's bathroom is still too fresh in my mind and scares me off of all funky colors! But I do love these pink ones....

Stacy,
Pink is not for me. I know... weird, but I can't picture having a pink room in my house. I'm glad my daughter wanted a lavender bedroom instead of pink. LOL
Have that said, I'm really impressed with your choices here. I must say that some of them are truly beautiful and made me rethink the "pink" interior. So, I'm thankful for seeing this post today. Thank you! :-)
Have a great day!

I am having my upstairs bathroom remodeled now, and I had the walls painted pink, Botticelli Angel, by Behr. I love it! Pink makes everyone look good!
I would never have thought I could like a pink bathroom- I'm like you, my only experience with pink has been with those scary old 60's bathrooms. But these are beautiful! I especially like the one with the wide pink stripes on the wall.
Your parent's new condo is really nice!
Hey I featured your master bedroom makeover on my blog today! I love it!! :)

Pink brings a smile to my face, especially in the bath with the two white stepping stools! I also covet the deep pink bathroom with the grey and white mosaic tile floor. Great use of a console table too!
I had a pink bathroom years ago. I installed a big, floral Waverly wallpaper, which helped. A wrecking ball would have worked better!
Cheers!
Barbara
What a great collection of pink rooms! If only I could find the courage to do one myself!
My RSS feeds haven't been updating in my reader since the 17th :( so I came over to see what was missing. I wonder if anyone else has been having trouble - I love reading your blog and I missed it last week!
Great post. Pink can be a very flattering skin colour. I love so many colours and when used in their proper tones and shades can all glow.
Have a rosy week
