Are you all so busy with the holidays this week? I am, but I'm going to try to post every day. Happy Monday!!

This first image reminds me that I still need some chartreuse in my life. Happy weekend everyone!
Pantone Color of the Year 2017: Greenery
Tuesday, December 13, 2016
By now I'm sure you have all heard that Pantone's pick for color of the year 2017 is Greenery. I am a huge fan, always have been. Maybe I'd tone it down just a smidge for most residential projects. Here is the color as Pantone selected it:
Thursday Favorites
Wednesday, December 7, 2016
I have posted this room before because I am so drawn to it every time I see it. I adore the color combination. I know a lot of people don't like chartreuse, but it has always been one of my favorites. I'm too chicken to wear it or to committ to it in a big way in decorating, but I still love it. Here are the rest of the rooms that caught my eye today:

To Be, or Not to Be Daring? (Bold Interior Design)
Thursday, December 1, 2016
There are some bold choices in these rooms, and I admire them all. For example, so many metallic surfaces in the top image, as well as the mix of metals. In the one below, the mix of patterns. I find that I am more daring the older I get, although most of these I wouldn't do in my own home (but I still respect them). What about you? Do you like to be daring in decorating? I'd love to know!
Couture Brands at Wayfair
I don't ever want to inundate readers with product pictures and posts, so I always do these as a second post, meaning email readers get the "real" post first with this second one as an attachment.
This took me a couple years to find, but I finally found the couture section at Wayfair!!! I have seen many of these pieces in other searches before, but not all together.... all 922 amazing pieces with prices that I know I can't beat anywhere. I'm a big fan of Wayfair for this reason, as well as for the customer service. Not such a fan of the website because searches are often unfruitful, but I am SO excited I finally found this section!
Some of the prices are out of my range, but a lot aren't. Like the navy blue velvet love seat for $799 - I hadn't seen that before and am so glad to know where it is now. I'm really lusting after the pink lamp in row 1 too.
This post shows about 1 in 9 of everything they have available. To view all, click HERE

Home Office Reveal, Best Home Goods Find Ever, and a Masterpiece Home in Pink and White and Gray
Saturday, November 26, 2016
Today I want to show you some updated images of my office. I have almost finished it, but it's that last little bit that plagues me. Namely, painting the bookcases. But I did want to show you one of my favorite Home Goods finds ever - the sunburst mirror:
Weekend Eye Candy
Friday, November 25, 2016
I hope you all had happy Thanksgiving gatherings! Our was really, really nice. I didn't cook, which is a little rare. I hosted the last 20 years or so, but recently we have been going to my husband's cousin's house on the other side of Boston, and I have to say it was kind of a relief. I do love hosting, but I have recently seen the beauty of being a guest :) Here are some of the desserts his counsin served:
And one shot of my sweet peas:
See the chocolate strawberries? Ellie put every single one of those on her plate. I didn't realize until someone said "Wow the chocolate strawberries are gone already!" and I looked over at her and sure enough. ALL of them on her plate. So embarrassing but kind of cute!
Ok onto the rooms.....
Our Master Bath Remodel: Preliminary Plans
Monday, November 21, 2016
Our master bath has been in need of a remodel for a loooong time. It is builder grade materials right now, and it worked ok for us for a while. But now we think the tub plumbing is leaking under the flooring because the flooring is buckling. So since we need to rip that up anyway, we are just going to do the rest now, too.
The photo above is one of my inspiration photos.
Endless Table Settings Ideas
This post seems kind of repeptitive. I guess I know what I like for Thanksgiving tables. I'm not actually hosting this year, so I am not doing one, but if I were it would look like the first one. Have any of you had time to think about the table yet? I'd love hear, or better yet see photos if you feel liek sharing...

Quite an eclectic mix....there is no rhyme or reason other than I like all of these, and hope you do, too:
Design Must Have: The Gold Coffee Table
Sunday, November 13, 2016
** My picks are at the bottom of the post **
I have had gold coffee and end tables in my house since the old Bombay Company sold them inexpensively when I was in my 20's, and they are purchases I have never regretted. I especially love the more modern styles shown here, and how they work so well mixed with more traditional pieces. Enjoy!
What I Love: Susan Ferrier Designs
Wednesday, November 9, 2016
Do you guys know Susan Ferrier's work? She's so talented and I have so much respect for her and just adore her work. Here is what McAlpine House says about her:
A native New Yorker with an intuitive approach to design, Susan Ferrier is well known for creating sensuous, wonderfully atmospheric interiors. In 2000, mutual professional and aesthetic admiration led Susan into a partnership with Bobby McAlpine and Ray Booth. She launched the Nashville office with Ray in 2003, and founded the Atlanta Design Studio in 2005. Her work for McALPINE has been recognized nationally in numerous prestigious publications. Most recently, in 2015, Veranda featured Susan’s own home, describing it as “an atmosphere of intrigue and wonder.” In addition, her interiors have been featured in Architectural Digest, Elle Décor, Atlanta Homes and other significant publications. Susan is inspired by travel, shops the world for treasures and shares her love of people and the places that hold them. She and her husband, Adrian, a native of New Zealand, spend their free time seeing the world, so much so that their passports read like the table of contents of National Geographic. Rizzoli Publications published Susan’s first book, Art of the House, which she co-authored with partner Bobby McAlpine.

Free People's gift section went up today, and I love so, so many things, especially the gold velvet blanket, the specialty marshmallows (I ordered for the stockings already), the rose gold boots, and the sparkly black boots:
