Elizabeth Martin

Before I get to my post, I have a favor to ask of readers viewing on mobile devices. Have you noticed a change in this blog's appearance?  I.e., does it look like crap all of a sudden (or has it always looked bad!?)   Because it does on my iPad and I have no idea why.  Specifically, everything is being pushed over to the left and the sidebar is all screwed up.  I'd appreciate if you would let me know if you are having problems viewing, and if so, (1) what device are you using, and (2) what browser are you using.  Not that I can assure a fix, but I can promise I'll do my best (which most likely means googling, stressing, losing sleep, etc., but ultimately not being able to do anything about it). Thank you!!!

When I first saw this room by Elizabeth Martin, I knew it was automatically in my top 10 favorite rooms of all time:

Here is the room again in the next two photos, obviously taken at two different times. Isn't it amazing how much photo editing can do? I assume that this is the same room (look at the items on the mantel, the art, the shelves). But the rug and sofa are different, and I think the image on the left was brightened. Pretty amazing, huh?

I love that kitchen, and the amazing striped carpet. I am a stripe girl though.

Gorgeous. Thanks for post some rooms with UNpainted furniture. The bedroom with the wicker chair and nekkid lady looks similar to my master br and bath color, BM Gray Wisp. Some of these are going into my inspiration files.

Stacy - I often view your blog on my Verizon Droid. I just went and got it and it looks fine. If I could find my husband's Zoom I'd check for you on that, but I think he has it with him. Maybe your ipad was having a moment.

btw, yours is one blog I ALWAYS get to (out of the many I subscribe to) because I love all the gorgeous pics you find. Thanks for educating and entertaining me!

Sorry not a mobile user so can't help you there... That was intersting to see how different a room can look with those changes! I loved the foyer with the pink elements - very sophisticated!
