Designer Amy Bergman & Architect Linda McArthur

Amy Bergman's dining room in her own Atlanta home is one of my favorite rooms of all time.  I've been obsessing about it lately as I try to create something I love as much in my own dining room. So, I know you all probably saw these photos of Amy's amazing home in February when they were first published, but I'm posting them again.  She works with renowned architect Linda McArthur -- here is some of her work, too, which you may not have seen yet.  Finally I'll show you a photo of where my dining room is currently stalled at because a few of you were sweet enough to ask!

Here is Amy's Berman's house:

UN. BELIEVABLE. How gorgeous is THIS?  I LOVE the scale of everything, especially the table:

As you'll see below, I've been struggling with mixing true turquoise and teal in my dining room (because it is so darn difficult to find placemats that match the fabric and paint!)  Here, Amy does it so beautifully:

This is probably the most unique and amazing thing I've ever seen in interior design.  I would never think to put a settee along the line of the stairs, never mind custom carving it to match the form (which is what I assume she did)... This is the photo that made her a design god in my mind:

Here is some of Linda MacArthur's amazing work.  I chose all new construction to show you because that is my favorite:

Finally, here is the photo I promised.  Of course it is no where near finished, and once I got a coat of paint up I left it alone and never went back, so who knows when I'll get to it.  Probably before a dinner party I am hosting in October!

Ok these images are all soooo stunning! And you dinning room looks great! The stripes are much better on that wall than on the other wall with the windows.

Thanks for all of these gorgeous photos! I needed to just enjoy other peoples' spaces for a bit instead of stressing about getting my own home 'done'. Your dining room is looking AWESOME!!

Hi Stacy I am in love with the black and white stripes and I think if you use different curtains the stripes around the room will look amaaaaazing. You painted them wider than you originally showed them and they really look sophisticated. I am with you, I love Amy's designs!!! Have a super weekend, xo Kathysue

The blue dining room chairs with nail head trim are wonderful, as is the settee. And look at your dining room! Wow!

If I remember right you had shutters up or something in your dinning room. You have to finish the strips. It looks great- Cant wait to see it when it is done.

Your first image of Amy's dining room is my favourite dining room image - love it and I still get a kick every time I see it. But your dining room is up there with my favourites in this post - eery stylish, elegant and sophisticated. Great taste.
