I finally got the lights for the kitchen. They are from Ballard Designs and were on a big sale, so I grabbed them, and Patrick installed them yesterday. I am very happy with the look. Oh, except they are not that shiny here, so I sprayed them with some gloss. (Yes, while they were in place. It's starting to air out today and we are confined to the upstairs, but it was worth it).
I'm still working on the bedroom. In particular, Im thinking about lights and paint. I have two colors to try (light gray and darker gray), and if I don't like either I will stick with the off-white. I'm hoping to get to that this week.
Here it is now:
Here is a quick shot of some of the accessories:
But mostly I'm looking at lights to replace the god awful ceiling fan right now.
Here are the contenders:
Number 1:
In a room in the smaller size:
And in this dining room in the largest size, which I maybe could use, but it would be intentionally oversized:
Number 2:
I would spray this champagne gold before hanging the crystals. It's an extra step, but it is a lot less expensive than the first:
Number 3:
And this. The love of my life. It is the less expensive version of the $5000 and up Ochre Arctic Pear, but it is still a lot. It is my husband's favorite, but he doesn't love the price.
And this beauty in a few rooms:
(Those were all tagged as Robert Abbey Bling on Pinterest, but honestly, I think some might be the original Artic Pear, especially the Elle Decor one)
So what do you guys think? 1, 2 or save up for #3, no matter how long it takes?
(I often hesitate to do polls like this because it seems so narcissistic to me, thinking you guys would care about my lighting choice, but you've all been so awesome in the past so I decided to do it!)
Thank you!!

Number 3 gets my vote. I think #1 is beautiful but the gold tone would stand out against the silver & grays and I'm not seeing anything else in the room to pull that tone in. Love #2 but it could detract from your bed because of its size. Number 3 has the perfect tone, perfect amount of glitz, and doesn't promote an overly feminine feel (your husband will appreciate that, lol).
And the gray you are putting on the walls is beautiful (I can see where you started cutting in).
Kitchen lights are perfect!
Good Luck!
I love your kitchen lights..and I love how you are not afraid to change them up with a glossy finish...
For your bedroom I love all 3,but like number 3 the best for your bedroom. The shape mimics the silver table and I love how it would hang at the bottom of your bed...It' Fabulous!!!
We actually painted our Master bedroom a very dark grey and I love it..but I kept everything else pretty light in the room and still working on accessories..If you plan to keep the dark curtains as the headboard..you may want to consider the light of the grey or a cream to match the foot board curtains...
As always...YOU ARE DOING A BEAUTIFUL JOB!!! Have a Wonderful Night!!! Marie
Stacy,
I love number 2. for your bedroom. I love all three but would get bored rather quickly looking at number 3.
Christine
Stacy, you asked! I just don't see the gold finish in the gray bedroom, I would love to see black, a matte black, which has so much drama, and none of the glitz, even if you use the chandeliers. I have used grays all over my homes, love it so much and know how beautiful it can be. + all your accessories are crying out for the dull matte finish. Be brave, go out and get an old banged up piece, spray paint it black and see what happens. xx's
You can't go wrong but 3 is the one and btw I love seeing your own beautiful home
I love Marsha's comment. But I would totally save up for that fab 3rd one!
My favorite is #1, and it would probably be fine since it's OK to mix metals. But because this is YOUR home, I say save up and go for YOUR favorite (#3). It is beautiful, and you cannot go wrong with it!
I vote for 3. It's glamorous, yet subtle & undestated. Definitely worth waiting for.
#3 and it's my dream chandelier too!! I have a smaller version in my foyer and love it but wish I would have sprung for the bigger one.
#3! I love the first one too, but the third one is perfect for your bedroom. The island lights look great! I wish we had outlets for lights above our island. I did get a price from our contractor and let's just say there will be no island lights for a while! I love that you sprayed the gloss without taking the lights down. I know I would have done the same!
Those kitchen lights...LIGHT ON!! Well...I'm a #3 fan (although you are currently "down" on fans...) So totally agree that "over-sized" in the dining area is RIGHT ON!! franki
3. I LOVE it!

My vote is #1..I love #3 but for a dining room...and number #2 is pretty but what a hassle to paint it!
I love #3, small version, for your bedroom and although I prefer dark gray paint...in your room the light gray may keep it from going too gloomy unless you are planning on hanging a lot of white matted art. Bianca
