Ok, now I have seen everything, right? This must be the best upcycle ever.
These amazingly crafty bloggers used paper bags, Elmers Glue, wood stain, and polyurethane and transformed their floors - even directly over concrete - for under $100. I'm super-impressed. ot that I want to do it any time soon, but my gosh, who thought of this first!? Amazing. (I looked to see who did it first, but couldn't determine. Anyone know?)

On this one, she used a wood grain tool. Yup, that's faux wood. Can you even believe it??
And this one, too. Fake wood made with paper bags:
My only complaint is that I so wish more of the bloggers showed us photos with the furniture back in!! I understand their excitement, and probably would have done the same, snapping away during the process.
Has anyone seen these in person? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
*Please note that I don't necessarily recommend this treatments - I don't know enough about how it holds up, etc., to say that!

Stacy,
Wow, never heard of this. It looks great I wonder how it holds up. Women, are so smart! Love it.

Say what....I have not heard of this and how cool for a contemporary look (to me anyway)

Well...actually...another version...one of my colleagues (GORGEOUS HOME!) used brown paper bags to "wallpaper" a hallway...he put a "finish" on it and it looked JUST LIKE LEATHER...did the brass studs, etc. Creative!! franki
