The problem - they were bright red. Not my thing.
So, I sprayed them black and they lived happily for a while. But then I remembered what a little tube of Rub 'n Buff can do.
I spent 5 minutes and $3 today, and here are my "new" end tables:
I can see I missed a little at the bottom:
But I love how they go with the table in the background:
I hope you'll visit my store for Rugs, Lighting, Art, Furniture and more:

Love how it looks with that back table! I have heard so many good things about rub n' buff - I have got to try it myself sometime soon...with all the pending projects around here I'm sure I can find something. :)
They look amazing. I have got to try this rub and buff.
my mother used to use this all the time. she was an interior decorator..I remember taking in the smell. ha!
I've been seeing people referring to 'rub and buff' - but I think you've just converted me. Where do I pick up a tube of that metallic goodness?
How pretty! Your side tables look fabulous, Stacy!
Love the tables. It's amazing how well they coordinate with your existing table. I'm going to have to try that rub-n-buff. I have a DIY project that didn't turn out the way I wanted and this might help.
How did we ever live without rub n buff? Love it! I guild a lot of pieces (or did) and at time rub and buff is what you need to add depth to some of the pieces.
Love your tables. When do you sleep?l
Happy Monday, Stacy.

I can't imagine that bright red "thing" in your living room - I thought you did great repainting it black instead.
