A Designer to Watch: Palmer Weiss

Tuesday, October 4, 2011

First thing today, I need to apologize sincerely to all of my wonderful blog friends. I know I have not been visiting and commenting as much as usual, or as much as I would like.  This school year had been absolutely crazy. My ten year old is playing football (about a 16 hour a week commitment), and has a TON of homework each night.  Combined with trying to give my daughter some attention, working, and writing this blog, I literally don't have time to sleep. It's been weighing heavily on my mind that I've been ignoring you all, and I am so, so sorry.  I miss you all and I will be back just as soon as I can be.

Maybe it's because I've been too busy lately, but I hadn't heard of Palmer Weiss until recently.  I think I first read about her in connection with up and coming "designers to watch," but I can't find the article.  I bookmarked her site, though, and when I had a chance to go back, I was really impressed with her work.  Do you know her and love her work like I do?

A client I were just talking about colors for her living room last night, and coincidentally, this is pretty much what we landed on (minus the animal print):

I totally understand you. It's been so busy for me also. Instead of resting, I'm just nesting! :-) Take your time and don't feel bad. We're here to support you.

I'm loving her designs. They're very sleek and smart. Thank you for this beautiful post!

Wow shes good. VERY good. Many beautiful spaces......copied a few for safekeeping:)
Stacy no worries about being too busy...I find with blogging there are times that everything flows and you have plenty of time to "do it all" and other times where its crazy madness and 24 hours a day just doesn't seem to cut it! I used to many leisurely hours to spend blogging at night...well now its about an hour either because I am neeeded or just too wiped out from all the days happenings..so I and I bet everyone else can relate too. Kids and family are always first...blogging second...we are here waiting:) And trust me this time next month it will be ME saying I dont' have time for everything.....

No worries - you have the right priorities in mind - including sleep! :) I have been trying to actually spend less time blogging and more time with my kids lately - these moments won't come back later! Love this designer - such a wide range of styles!

Palmer Weiss is such a talented designer. You've done a wonderful job showcasing her incredible work.
Have a lovely Tuesday, Stacy, and don't feel you need to apologize for focusing on your family. They should always come first.

Stacy...I will be watching for Palmer Weiss! Thanks for sharing! I'm searching for the new and the different! The up and coming! Trust me! Also...I can sooo understand about not having the time to do all of the blogging and keeping up with our blogging friends...this has definitely been the busiest season for me as well...and I only have a 12th grader left at home! It never gets easier...just different! Anyway..thanks for your sweet comments on our blog last night and I appreciate your time and your blogging friendship! Just remember...this too shall pass!!!! But as I always say...enjoy each and every minute of the things that really matter!! Family is always first! It's gone in the blink of an eye!!!
Many thanks,
Carolyn

Have heard of her, but not seen all these pictures! She uses lots of fun colors! I love the dining area (breakfast nook) with those yellow chairs. What a great way to start the day!
