Memorial Day, the unofficial start of summer, is here! My kids are in the pool as we speak, without a care in the world, giving off the sweetest sounds in the world - children laughing and playing.
I'm also thinking about my father today, who served in his youth, both of my grandfathers who served in WWII, and my husband's two grandfathers and grandmother, all of whom served in WWII. One of my husband's grandfathers liberated the concentration camp at Dachau. There are no words to thank them all enough for their service. Happy Memorial Day everyone -- I hope you all enjoy the weekend as you are no doubt teaching your children about our wonderful veterans and servicemen and women. I hope you get a chance to take a dip in a pool, too, before the busy grind starts again!
