Hardwood Floors

Thursday, March 15, 2012

Today I'm showing you some gorgeous wood flooring. This is in honor of my newest sponsor who provides Solid Oak Flooring from Ambience Hardwood Flooring.  They have a great selection and fabulous prices, so I hope you'll go check them out.

If you've been reading, you know that I did my own floors recently.  In case you didn't see them the first time I posted about them, here is what they look like now:

I'm still  not ready to show you everything put back together because I am still waiting on a rug and have a ton of painting to do.

And while I love mine and will never change them, while I was in the process of having them redone, I was amazed at how light and open my house looked when the floors were sanded but not yet stained. Even my kids were saying "Our house looks so bright!"  It made me fall in love with the very light, bleached or natural look, like these:

Look at these two... AMAZING texture!

Stained oak floors are my all time favorite wood flooring, stained a mid tone walnut. I did this in a clients home a couple years ago, moving away from a neutral finish, and it transformed the home. So much richness and will stand the test of time, solid flooring! A someday wish for my house! Janell

First of all, I love your floors and cannot wait for your official reveal..The bleached floors are beautiful too...I especially liked the little dining area with the "washed" look...they are all so beautiful...

Yes, they are pretty! I'd have pushed harder for a darker stain than we ended up with, but my husband would never agree to sand and restrain them. I don't even have to ask!

Wow- your floors look amazing! I didn't sdee them the first time. They are truly stunning! I remember you saying that you couldn't wait to stain them! That is on my list of to do's in the future! The light bleached look is also beautiful, especially for a beach house!

It looks pretty amazing! Your dark wall nut colored tiles gives your house that distinct classic design. Plus, it lets the furniture to stand out especially the white colored ones. That's pretty.
